CERTIFICATION & ACCREDITATION
Upon successful completion of the course and certification
exam, the student will earn, and be permitted to use the
RLNC designation, and will receive a Certification
Certificate granted through Evans & Associates, LTD.
The RLNC designation is a certification trademark that may
only be used by persons who have received Legal Nurse
Consulting Certification through Evans & Associates Ltd.
Please note the word “registered” does not license nor grant
special practice rights to the registered nurse functioning
as a Legal Nurse Consultant. However, the designation does
imply the student is registered on Evans & Associates, Ltd.
Legal Nurse Consultant Course registry, as successfully
completing certification requirements and passing The Legal
Nurse Consultant Certification Exam. Upon advertisement of
his/her services, the student should include the RLNC
certification trademark along with explanatory language,
such as the following: “The RLNC certification mark
indicates that the Legal Nurse Consulting services are
performed by an individual who meets the educational,
training and examination requirements of Evans & Associates,
Ltd.
The student will also receive a Continuing Education Hours
Certificate with 26.64 hours awarded and approved by the
Ohio Nurses’ Association.
This
continuing nursing education activity was approved
by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an
accredited approver by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
ONA # 13,371. Approval valid through 5/22/09. ONA
has granted approval for awarding of contact hours
only and has no involvement with "certification" or
use of the credential.
Certification
through Evans & Associates Ltd. in the field of
Legal Nurse Consulting permits the student to use
the RLNC certification mark.
Recertification
is required every two years. The student will be
required to complete 8 hours of continuing education
in legal nursing. The fee for recertification every
two years is $100.00 and must be submitted with
proof of continuing education hours completed and
nursing license. The student at all times must hold
an active nursing license to use the RLNC
credentials.
